My therapeutic style is blunt, honest, authentic and straightforward with a little humor (we all need to laugh). The eating disorder tells us enough lies, so you can count on me to be the voice of reason. I will also be encouraging and empathetic. I believe that therapy should be a conversation and therapists should be relatable and real. I will walk along side you and encourage and challenge you in your recovery journey. I decided to build the outpatient plus level of care mostly because I was tired of people relapsing due to lack of support and accountability. When I worked at the PHP and IOP level of care I began to realize how little support is available after discharge and how important continued peer support is in eating disorder recovery. I also recognized the need for people to get a higher level of care faster, so at times I may encourage that. I work with adults with eating disorders only. I also work from a HAES (health at every size) approach.
*I am currently accepting for groups, but have a waitlist for individual services. If you are on my waitlist, that means you are on a list to receive an assessment, which is not a guarantee of services. By being on my waitlist, I am not your therapist on record or your acting therapist. You are simply, waiting for an assessment to see if becoming an individual client is indicated.*
